Nato a Como nel 1975, Vincenzo Musacchio è un collage artist le cui opere raccontano i contesti in cui vive attraverso le immagini.
Dai tempi del liceo Vincenzo legge, sfoglia, seleziona e si appassiona alle immagini delle innumerevoli riviste accumulate in casa e destinate al macero e, con il desiderio di dare una seconda vita alle foto, ritaglia e recupera le figure inanimate che iniziano a popolare il suo mondo.
Dopo gli studi si trasferisce a Milano, tra Chinatown e Isola. Le influenze orientali, le atmosfere bohèmien e le accelerazioni metropolitane di questi luoghi forniscono stimoli serrati e continui, presenti in ogni dettaglio della sua produzione artistica.
Dopo anni di sperimentazione le sue creazioni sono ora realizzate su tela e il fil rouge resta la particolare cura del dettaglio e la speciale attenzione per la ricerca. Le opere sono dense di icone e brand recuperati da diversi ambiti: arte, cinema e nuovi media, moda e architettura. Le sue fonti di ispirazione spaziano da Rotella a Warhol, da Wesselmann a Blake; i suoi fotografi di riferimento sono Lachapelle e Richardson.
Lavori provocatori, ironici, inattesi, nonsense, bizzarri e pop ne sono il risultato. Immergersi nel mondo compatto e complesso di questo artista permette di fare i conti con l’effimero, l’estetica, i contenuti a volte espliciti e a volte da ricercare, la superficialità e la densità contemporanea.

Born in Como in 1975, Vincenzo Musacchio is a collage artist whose works tell the contexts in which he lives through images.
Since high school, Vincenzo has been reading, leafing through, selecting and becoming passionate about the images of the countless magazines he has accumulated at home and destined to be pulled down and, with the desire to give photos a second life, he cuts out and recovers the inanimate figures that are beginning to populate his world.
After his studies he moved to Milan, between Chinatown and Isola. The oriental influences, bohemian atmospheres and metropolitan accelerations of these places provide tight and continuous stimuli, present in every detail of his artistic production.
After years of experimentation his creations are now made on canvas and the fil rouge remains the special attention to detail and the special attention to research. The works are full of icons and brands recovered from different fields: art, cinema and new media, fashion and architecture. His sources of inspiration range from Rotella to Warhol, from Wesselmann to Blake; his reference photographers are Lachapelle and Richardson.
Provocative, ironic, unexpected, nonsensical, bizarre and pop works are the result. Immersing yourself in the compact and complex world of this artist allows you to come to terms with the ephemeral, the aesthetic, the sometimes explicit and sometimes researchable content, the superficiality and contemporary density.
